2025 Records from Acadia
What a year here at the studio. As always we invested in upgrades to our gear to ensure we are always capturing the best sound we possibly can. One big improvement was switching out our ADAM A77x studio monitors with Dutch & Dutch 8cs monitors. Not to be dramatic, but it has VASTLY improved both recording and mixing— we can just dial everything in so much faster, and listen back has incredible clarity!
This year also started with a profound loss: Blake Hall (bradford), passed away tragically in a car accident in January. His record, Just Get Started, had just completed the mastering process when we heard this news. We are so heartbroken. Blake was a blossoming talent— he had so much creative energy, and we were so impressed by how quickly he was absorbing everything about the recording process and honing his skills for future records. Help us honor Blake by celebrating his creativity in Just Get Started. Blake’s backing band features other Acadia regulars, Drew Wyman on bass, Cameron Jones on Drums, and Will Moffatt on guitar.
So as we look forward to 2026, take some time to hug those you love, and discover something new from the grid below. So much heart and hours were invested into this body of work, and it represents such a special multi-genre snapshot of some of Maine’s most talented musicians. If you can, purchase physical music this year— help musicians actually make some money from their music. Go to live shows. Support the local scene. Divest from capital greed in music if you can.
